Sunshine Nutrition's Omega 3-6-9 is a blend of complex essential fatty acids (EFA) from 3 rich natural sources - Fish, Flax and Borage. • Fish Oil: The EPA and DHA found in fish oil are readily available to your body to utilize. These constituents of omega-3 help decrease inflammation and pain in conditions like rheumatoid arthritis and are known to improve cardiovascular health and reduce cholesterol levels.
• Flaxseed Oil: Contains the essential fatty acid Alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), which the body converts into eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), which is the omega-3 fatty acids found in fish oil. Clinical studies suggest that flaxseed oil and other omega-3 fatty acids may help treat a variety of conditions - lower cholesterol, lower high blood pressure, PMS pain, constipation, etc.
• Borage Oil: one of the most abundant sources of Gamma-linolenic acid, or GLA, an omega-6 fatty acid mostly found in plant-based oils. Although we may obtain an excess of linoleic acid through diet, it's often not converted to GLA due to diets rich in sugar, alcohol or trans fats from processed foods, as well as smoking, pollution, stress, aging, viral infections, and other conditions such as diabetes.
