Slow-release ferrodan fe2+ 100 mg is a slow-release tablet with iron and vitamin c.

The tablet releases iron for six hours in the gut. Vitamin C enhances the absorption of iron. A source of iron, ferrous(ii)bisglycinate is a chelate of iron and glycine amino acid from which iron is well absorbed and has high bioavailability in the body. 

Ferrous(ii)bis-glycinate is well tolerated and non-irritating in the stomach and gut causing much fewer adverse effects, unlike other iron compounds. 

Iron is essential in the formation of normal red blood cells and hemoglobin. Hemoglobin in red blood cells carries oxygen from the lungs to tissues. Lack of iron leads to low hemoglobin and can cause anemia, which causes tiredness and fatigue, fast heartbeat, pale face, shortness of breath, and dizziness.

Iron intake from the diet is adequate in men but in many women, the intake is constantly insufficient. Low hemoglobin is commonly experienced and the use of iron supplements may be needed in pregnancy and lactation, heavy menstrual periods, celiac disease, training athletics, and a growth spurt in children.

Daily dose 1 tablet contains iron 100 mg, vitamin c 50 mg.

How To Use:

Adults 1 tablet daily. The whole tablet is swallowed with water. Take tablets on an empty stomach or with a meal. Taken with food. Avoid coffee, tea, milk, and whole grain. Do not exceed suggested dosage. Do not use it if the seal is broken or missing.
