Source of Life® Garden Men's Multi is a vegan, iron-free multivitamin with whole food blends. It provides vegan vitamin D3 from lichen along with vitamins A, C, E and K as well as the full spectrum of B vitamins. It also contains minerals such as calcium and magnesium from seaweed in a plant-based wholefood base that is rich in vital substances especially for men.

The body can produce vitamin D in the skin with the help of UV-B rays from the sun. It is the site of the body's own production of vitamin D (endogenous synthesis). In winter, however, the sun's rays are too weak in our latitudes for sufficient vitamin D production in the skin. The body then accesses - if available - the vitamin D3 stored in the form of Calcifediol. The stores are mainly located in muscle and fat tissue.

The main function of vitamin D in the body is in the bones. In addition, vitamin D has a beneficial effect on the cell division process, supports the body's defenses, contributes to the maintenance of normal muscle function and helps reduce the risk of falls associated with postural instability and muscle weakness. Falls are a risk factor for fractures in men and women aged 60 and older.
