Our Tea Tree Essential Oil is prepared from the fresh (never dried) leaf of Melaleuca alternifolia trees, which are traditionally grown in their native wetlands habitat in Australia. The leaf is hand-harvested at its peak, then promptly steam distilled to produce the finest oil possible. Our Tea Tree Essential Oil is low in cineole (less than 7%) and is therefore very gentle to the skin and mucous membranes.
